Batavia Covenant Preschool and School Age Enrichment Program is a weekday, not-for-profit facility established by the Evangelical Covenant Church of Batavia and licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. This child care center was designed to serve both the children of the church and of the community and their families.

The purpose of the preschool is to provide a Christian environment for the growth and development of the young child. We believe children are unique individuals who will grow and develop in their own special ways through play and hands on experiences. By providing a secure and stimulating environment and the guidance of competent, caring persons, we are giving children the opportunity to learn joyfully and appropriately for their age.

The purpose of our school age program is to provide high quality, supervised care with a Christian emphasis for 5-12 year olds (K-5). We provide care before and after school, on school holidays, and during the summer. Our goal is to help meet the needs of the children we serve by providing a nurturing environment with loving, dedicated teachers to guide them and they learn and explore.

In case of morning emergency school closings (unfavorable weather conditions, etc...) turn to CLTV, or call the day care at (630) 879-3755 to hear a recorded message for information on the center's hours of operation for those days. If Batavia schools are closed due to the weather, the center will delay opening until 8:00 AM to allow staff and students to arrive safely.

If Batavia schools close early for emergency reasons, we will assume care for the children we normally are responsible for on that given day unless we hear from the child's parent or guardian. If it becomes necessary for our center to close early, we will notify CLTV, have our recorded message implemented and attempt to contact parents by phone.

In case of bad weather due to snow, ice, extreme temperatures, etc..., Batavia Covenant Preschool will close when the Batavia Public Schools close. If the Batavia schools are closed because of weather, the preschool will also be closed.
