Parking for High School Students at Batavia Covenant Church

In an effort to help with overcrowding at Batavia High School, Batavia Covenant Church has designated 50 numbered parking spots for high school students to use for the 2008-2009 school year. We have a large parking lot that serves a diverse number of ministries during the hours that school is in session, which is why we can only make a certain number of spots available. The cost for a parking spot for the 2008-2009 school year is $225.

Through our website you have available to you all important dates, times, and processes for getting a spot for the 2008-2009 school year. On our website students who currently have a spot can renew for the next year, and students who would like a spot can get into the lottery for a spot. It is our hope to serve the high school students by providing a clean, safe, and convenient place for students to park. Please help us accomplish this by not leaving trash in the parking lot and driving safely.

Important dates and procedures:

Cost of a parking spot for 2008-2009 school year is $225.
All students who obtain a spot for 2008-2009 must sign a Rules and Regulations Form telling us they understand all the rules and regulations of our parking lot, and if they fail to comply with those they will lose the parking spot.
Renewal: If you had a parking spot for the 2007-2008 school year and you are looking to renew your spot, click on the link below. (Note: The spot must remain within the same household, it is non-transferable.)
All renewal forms and money must be received by May 9, 2008.
All remaining spots will be part of a lottery process.
Students may apply to be included in the lottery which will take place, Saturday, May 17 at 10 a.m. at BCC.
The lottery process that morning is open to the public, but your attendance or absence will in no way influence the results.

Part of our mission is to serve those students when there are special circumstances that may necessitate a closer parking spot. Here is how we have described special circumstances:

There is a medical condition where a student requires a shorter walk or close access to a vehicle during the day.
There is a family situation that requires the student be at a certain place at a certain time to care for family members.
Special circumstances do not include things like busyness, work schedules, sports, or other after school activities. (Those are part of being in high school and do not necessitate a closer parking spot).
The cost is still the same, $225, if you receive a spot due to special circumstances.
