Honduras Missions Trip
This fall, we will be embarking on a short trip to Honduras to help build
cabins at a Christian camp. We can use all the help we can get, so if you
are interested please view this document

Schedules
Children Ministries
-
Nursery
The nursery is available for children ages 6 weeks to 24 months during
both services on Sundays.
The current volunteer schedule can be

Little Lambs
Little Lambs is available for all 2 year olds during both services on Sundays.

Lil' K
All pre-school age children are invited to attend Lil' K during both services on Sundays.

K2 Crew
K2 Crew meets during the 9:00am service for all children ages kindergarten through
2nd grade.

Studio 6.7
Studio 6.7 meets during the 10:35am service for all children ages kindergarten through
5th grade.

Friday Night Live
All 3rd through 5th graders are invited to Friday night live on the 2nd Friday of the
month from 6:30-8:00pm.
The Children's Ministry Team needs YOUR help! We currently have openings for additional
volunteers to aid in all areas of children's ministries, serving all ages of kids. If you
are interested in helping with any of these groups please contact the church office at

Student Ministries

Brink
All middle school students are invited to Brink on Thursdays from 7-8:30pm.

Hang Time
Hang Time is for high school students on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-4:30pm.

Mosaic
All high school students are invited to Mosaic on Wednesdays from 7-8:30pm.

Life Together
Life Together for middle school and high school students is held during the 10:35am
service on Sundays.
Adult Life Together

9:00am Service - Fireside Bible Study
On May 11 and 18, please join us in the Fireside Room for a discussion entitled "Where does
it stand written?" Since being penned in September of 1872 by one of the founders of our denomination, these words
have been integral to our church's history, and we will be delving into this seemingly
simple statement over these two weeks. Those interested are invited to read an article on this subject
that is available in the Narthex. Either way, bring your bible and take part in this
interesting conversation!

10:35am Service - Getting a Grip: Finding Balance in Your
Daily Life
Join us as we spend 6 weeks studying the topic of finding balance in five key areas of
your life: your time, your health, your finances, your spiritual life, and your
relationships. Newcomers and visitors are ALWAYS welcome! It is not necessary to
attend every week... come when you can! We meet downstairs in Fellowship Hall at 10:35am.
The Adult Ministries Team is always looking for people who are interested in leading a
small group discussion. If you feel called to lead and serve in this way, please contact

Women Ministries

Bible Study
The women's Bible study is held on Mondays from 7-9pm downstairs in the church.
Newcomers are always welcome!

Birthday Girl's Luncheon
Celebrate your birthday or other's on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 11:30am, Colonial
Restaurant, St. Charles. Reservations are needed. Contact Helen Johnson at (630) 897-8861

Bindings
A women's book study group meets to discuss great literature on the 3rd Thursday
of the month at 7pm. Contact Barb Hjelm at (630) 406-9978 for more information.

Sowers
Cut and piece quilt squares together for distribution on the mission field. Meets at
6:30pm on the 1st Tuesday of the month from October to May. Contact Lou Boston at

Men Ministries

Prayer Breakfast
Join the men of the church for breakfast on the 1st Saturday of the month, 7:30am at Lume's
Pancake House on Fabyan Pkwy., Batavia. Contact Tom Wright at (630) 377-6010 for more

Serving Opportunities

Lazarus House Meal Ministry
Prepare a portion of the evening meal for residents of this shelter in St. Charles on the
1st Wednesday of the month. Contact Julie Beckman at (630) 232-0997 for more information.

Shawl Ministry
Create a shawl to comfort, support, celebrate, and encourage others. Meets at 6:30pm on
the 3rd Tuesday of the month from September to May. Contact Jan Gustafson at (630) 892-4093

Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry
Volunteers are needed to stock shelves and donate funds or food. Donation boxes are provided
on both levels of the church building. Contact Laura Fanning at (630) 443-9840 for more

Van Drivers
Volunteers are always needed to drive the buses on Sunday mornings to and from the Holmstad.
